One singer that I thought would NEVER consider retirement was Justin Bieber (70M YouTube subscribers.) Instead he quietly sold his entire song portfolio for 200 (it reads two hundred) million dollars. At 28 he is the youngest artist to have done so. Again, the lot was acquired by Hipgnosis, the financial bull who is sweeping a large part of the top hits luring mostly graying stars into retirement.

The unusual choice by "Canada's most famous Justin" (the other Justin is at the government and he is NOT equally loved) may indicate he's had enough of tours and recording studios. It would not be surprising if his choice had to do with the facial hemiparasis (so-called Bell's Palsy) which struck him, disfiguring his beautiful face, and which could be chronic and lead to hearing loss, an unsustainable damage for a recording artist such as Bieber.
